Spintires has one antagonist, and it is the ground itself. The million-selling off-road simulator drops you into the Russian wilderness with a fleet of Soviet-era trucks, a map full of timber objectives, and mud that deforms, grips and swallows wheels according to real physics. There are no race tracks and no lap times — just you, a winch, and terrain that has to be negotiated one meter at a time.
Mud Is the Main Character
Spintires' deformable terrain is still remarkable: every pass of your wheels carves ruts that fill with water, dry into obstacles or bog down the next truck that follows. Interactive water pushes back with physics-based currents strong enough to sweep a loaded vehicle off a crossing, tires deform under load, and body panels wobble and catch on trees. No two runs across the same map play out the same way.
Haul, Winch, Survive
The job is simple on paper — carry logs to the mill without getting lost or stuck. Doing it means managing fuel between far-flung stations, finding garages to repair and refit, and choosing attachments that fit the route ahead. When it goes wrong, the winch is your best friend: anchor to a tree, drag yourself out of the mire and try another line. A day-night cycle and dynamic rain and wind keep even familiar routes honest.
Ten Trucks, Seven Maps
Ten highly detailed Soviet-inspired vehicles — from nimble scouts to lumbering eight-wheeled haulers — take on seven maps built from the harsh beauty of the Russian backcountry, with physics-driven trees, rocks and undergrowth. Manual and automatic gear control, true-to-life engine audio and full wheel and gamepad support make the driving itself the reward.
Better in Convoy
Four-player multiplayer turns a stuck truck into a rescue operation: run convoys with friends, share attachments and winch each other out of the exercise in mudslinging that Spintires does best.

The included Spintires Editor and full Steam Workshop support built one of simulation gaming's great modding communities — thousands of vehicles and maps extend the game far beyond its original borders, and the sandbox mode invites you to simply explore.
