Scavenge, Upgrade, Specialize
Combat rewards preparation as much as reflexes. Overcoming tough-as-nails enemies and epic bosses earns experience, valuable loot and upgrade materials, and all of it feeds a build that is distinctly yours.
- Assemble a wicked arsenal of guns, melee weapons and armor, then push each piece further with the upgrade materials you scavenge across hostile environments.
- Slot weapon modifications to change how an encounter plays out, including hard-earned mods claimed from the world bosses you manage to bring down.
- Approach each fight dozens of ways: hold the line with rifle and revolver, or wade in with hammer and shotgun when the horde closes ranks.
Stronger Together
Invading other worlds to seek an end to the Root is dangerous, and survival is far from guaranteed. Team up with up to two other players and the odds shift: enemies grow tougher in a full party, but coordinated fire, timely revives and complementary builds are what crack the game's hardest challenges and unlock its greatest rewards. Solo runs, in turn, stay tight, readable and entirely yours.
