The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle

Best Seller

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle moves your household into Evergreen Harbor, a town where the air hangs heavy, the dumpsters are surprisingly generous and nobody else is coming to fix the place. This expansion ties the state of the world to what your Sims actually do, so a community full of solar panels and clean lots looks nothing like one that has given up. It is the pack for players who want their choices to leave a visible mark.

Move Into Evergreen Harbor

The new world arrives with an eco footprint attached, and it is not flattering. Junk accumulates around town, the skies stay smoggy and nature slowly retreats from the streets. Your Sims can live with that, or they can start picking up after the place and watch buildings bloom with greenery while the water runs clear again.

The town keeps score either way. Let things slide and the haze thickens, but pitch in consistently and you may catch a shimmering aurora borealis over the rooftops.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Generate your own power and water
Solar panels, wind turbines and dew collectors take a household off the grid entirely, and a new vertical garden grows food at home for Sims with no room for a proper plot. It is better for Evergreen Harbor than the alternative, and the savings in Simoleons add up faster than most players expect.
Craft goods worth selling
Dyes, bits and pieces and the odd ingredient hauled out of a dumpster all feed the crafting bench, where they turn into fizzy juices and candles. Set up an online store and the things your Sims make out of other people's rubbish quietly start paying the bills.

The Community Gets a Vote

A voting board puts a new Neighborhood Action Plan in front of everyone each week. Sims can push for mandatory recyclers, campaign to get the whole area moving, or throw their weight behind whatever suits their household best, and the plan that wins changes how the place behaves for everybody living in it.

Sims who want more influence can take up the civil designer career and advocate for the town professionally. Build relationships with the local crafters, activists and technicians and that goodwill comes back as help when a project needs it most.

One Sim's Trash Is Another's Decor

  • Dumpster diving is the cheapest way to furnish a starter home, whether that means a worn-out mattress your Sims can repair or a lightly singed oven that shines up perfectly well once someone bothers to clean it.
  • New furniture and clothing made from reclaimed materials means an upcycled house never has to look like a compromise, and the wardrobe that comes with it holds its own against anything bought new.
  • Fabric, technology and salvaged objects can all be repurposed into decoration, so the more your Sims scrounge, the more the home ends up looking like something nobody else in town could copy.

Pick the household with something to prove, move them into the roughest lot in Evergreen Harbor, and see how much of the town you can turn around before anyone else notices what you are up to.
