The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu Game Pack sends your Sims to the remote outpost of Batuu, the same world built for Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland and Disney World, and lets them write their own place in the Star Wars galaxy. The Resistance, the First Order and Hondo Ohnaka's scoundrels are all vying for control of the outpost, and which of them comes out ahead depends on the missions your Sim takes on. Along the way there are lightsabers to build, droids to buy, starfighters to fly and a cantina full of characters worth getting to know.
A Trip to the Edge of the Galaxy
Batuu is a destination world rather than a neighborhood to move into: your Sims travel there for a stay, then bring the trip home with them. The outpost is split into three districts, each with its own feel. Black Spire Outpost is the marketplace heart of Batuu, where Oga's Cantina pours the drinks, the Droid Depot sells companions and the Millennium Falcon sits docked at the spaceport. The Resistance encampment is tucked away in the wilds, all makeshift shelters and hidden supply drops, while the First Order's district runs on patrols, stormtroopers and a very different sense of order. Aliens walk the streets alongside human Sims, the clothing racks are stocked with Batuuan attire, and the sights and sounds are unmistakably Star Wars from the moment your Sim steps off the shuttle.
Pick a Side and Tip the Balance
Every faction on Batuu has work for a capable Sim, and every mission you complete earns reputation with the side that asked for it. Reputation is what opens doors: new outfits, starfighter access, critical story missions and eventually a face-to-face with the people running the show. Your Sim can lean hard into one cause or play all three against each other, and the balance of power on Batuu shifts to match.
- The Resistance
- Vi Moradi runs the Resistance cell on Batuu, and her missions are about sabotage, scouting and keeping the First Order off the trail of the hidden base. Earn enough trust and Rey herself takes notice of your Sim's efforts.
- The First Order
- Kylo Ren wants the Resistance base uncovered, and he is not particular about how it happens. First Order missions lean on interrogation, patrols and enforcement, with the promise of a TIE fighter and an audience with Kylo Ren for Sims who prove useful.
- The Scoundrels
- Hondo Ohnaka and his crew care about credits, not causes, and they will deal with anyone who pays. Their smuggling jobs and shady errands are always available whichever side your Sim favors, and they are the quickest route to a healthy stack of galactic credits.
Reputation is not the only thing your Sim can pick up on Batuu. The cantina and the encampments are full of locals with time on their hands, and a Batuuan romance is entirely on the table for Sims who play their cards right.
Your Own Lightsaber and Droid
The most coveted item on Batuu is a lightsaber, and nobody hands one out for free. Your Sim scours the outpost for parts, matching a hilt to a kyber crystal that sets the color of the blade, then assembles a weapon that is entirely their own. Once it is built, the fun starts: challenge other Sims to lightsaber duels, host training sessions and see how your Sim's technique holds up against a rival with a red blade. Over at the Droid Depot, a few credits buys a droid companion that tags along on your Sim's adventures, lends a hand when it can and occasionally zaps a Sim who gets too close. Bring it home and it becomes the plus-one at every party your Sim throws.
Bring the Galaxy Home
The Game Pack adds plenty for Sims who never leave the house too. Batuuan decor and furniture let you dress a room like the cantina, the recipes your Sim learned on the outpost go straight into the home kitchen, and the new Create a Sim outfits cover everything from Resistance flight suits to First Order uniforms. Deal a hand of sabacc on a quiet evening, set up lightsaber training in the backyard, or let the droid roam the lot and see who it takes a dislike to. You will need The Sims 4 base game to play, and from there the outpost is only a shuttle ride away.
