You play through the moments fans know by heart, then leave the story behind to roam Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, collect amber and engineer dinosaurs the films never dared to imagine.
Four Films, One Saga
The story follows the series in order. It starts with John Hammond's ill-fated park on Isla Nublar and ends with the fully operational Jurassic World resort, an adventure 65 million years in the making. Along the way you step into the shoes of Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, Ian Malcolm, Owen Grady, Claire Dearing and many more. You recreate set pieces such as the raptors stalking the kitchen, the trailer teetering over a cliff on Isla Sorna, the Spinosaurus attack in Jurassic Park III and the Indominus rex tearing through the park. Every scene is reimagined with LEGO sight gags, so tense moments regularly give way to a well-timed joke.
Dinosaurs You Can Control
The biggest twist on the formula is that you are not limited to the humans. Twenty dinosaurs are playable, from the friendly Triceratops and the deadly Raptor to the vicious Compy and the mighty T. rex. They are more than a novelty, because the dinosaurs play a real part in getting through the islands. The heavyweights smash and shove their way past obstacles no minifigure could move, while the smaller species reach places the human cast cannot.
Design Your Own Dinosaurs
- Amber and DNA
- Gather LEGO amber hidden throughout the levels and hub areas, then experiment with dinosaur DNA to splice together completely original creatures. Mixing traits from different species produces hybrids such as the Dilophosaurus Rex, and working out the combinations is half the fun.
- Paddocks on Both Islands
- Your creations do more than fill out a collection screen. Release them into paddocks across Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna as you complete special Free Play missions, and the islands gradually fill up with dinosaurs you designed yourself.
- Islands to Explore
- Between story chapters, Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna open up as explorable hubs packed with secrets, missions and collectibles. Return to finished levels in Free Play with a wider cast of characters and dinosaurs, and you will reach areas that were out of bounds the first time through.
Extra Characters and Vehicles Included
This version comes with all three of the game's content packs, adding twelve characters and four vehicles to the roster.
- Jurassic World DLC Pack: six additional characters plus two vehicles, the Jurassic Response Unit and the Jurassic World Shuttle, giving the Jurassic World side of the adventure an even bigger cast to play with.
- Jurassic Park Trilogy DLC Pack 1: the Dino Handler, plus Eric Kirby and his father Paul Kirby, the pair whose search on Isla Sorna drives Jurassic Park III, along with the Animal Control Vehicle.
- Jurassic Park Trilogy DLC Pack 2: the Jurassic Park Helicopter Pilot and Lex and Tim Murphy, along with Dr. Ian Malcolm's convertible, a fitting set of wheels for the series' favorite chaos theorist.
Better With a Friend
A second player can drop in or drop out at any moment and share the screen, which makes LEGO Jurassic World an easy pick for a parent and child or two friends on the couch. One of you can wrangle a dinosaur while the other works out the puzzle. The action stays cartoonish, with defeated enemies bursting into LEGO pieces and plenty of jokes at the expense of dinosaur droppings.
