The Far Cry 4 Season Pass gathers every add-on released for Ubisoft's Himalayan open-world shooter into one purchase, at 20% less than buying the pieces separately. This is add-on content, not the base game: you need Far Cry 4 installed to play any of it. What it adds is two new campaigns, an exclusive day-one mission, a new PvP mode with its own map, and the Hurk Deluxe Pack with five more missions and five more weapons, all of it dropped into Pagan Min's Kyrat.
What the Season Pass includes
- The Syringe (exclusive day-one mission)
- Playable solo or in co-op. A top secret item is in danger of falling into enemy hands, and Pagan Min's forces cannot be allowed to use it to their advantage. Your job is to recover it first, before it can be turned against the rebels.
- Valley of the Yetis campaign
- Your helicopter has gone down on an unforgiving Himalayan ridge. Explore the frozen landscape, find the tools to upgrade your camp and protect it by night from a dangerous cult. You are not alone up there, and in the darkest caves the yetis are waiting for their prey.
- Escape from Durgesh Prison
- Also single-player or co-op. You and a fellow captive have been rounded up and held in Yuma's prison. Break out, then survive the hostile lands of Pagan Min's Kyrat with whatever you can scavenge on the way.
- Overrun (new PvP mode and map)
- Team up as Rakshasa or Golden Path and fight for control of a series of neutral locations across the Kyrat countryside. Hold them for your side and keep your opponents from overrunning them.
- Hurk Deluxe Pack
- Five additional single-player missions, including Yak Farm, Blood Ruby and Hurk's Redemption, plus five weapons: The Impaler harpoon gun, the Arena Machete, the Driller PKM, the Sandman 1911 pistol and an Elephant double-barrel rifle. All five weapons carry over into the main game.
Solo, co-op and PvP
The pass covers all three ways Far Cry 4 is played. The Syringe and Escape from Durgesh Prison run in single-player or with a partner in co-op, so a friend can share the breakout and the race for the item. Valley of the Yetis is a self-contained campaign with its own map, camp and day-night rhythm, where the pressure comes from holding ground after dark rather than pushing forward. Overrun is for the competitive side, a team-based mode where Rakshasa and Golden Path contest territory, and the Hurk Deluxe Pack feeds new missions and hardware back into the main campaign.
Back in Kyrat
Far Cry 4 sends Ajay Ghale home to Kyrat, a fictional Himalayan country, to scatter his mother's ashes, and drops him into a civil war between the Golden Path rebels and the despot Pagan Min. The Season Pass content lives in that same world and picks up its threads: Pagan Min's forces hunting the item in The Syringe, Yuma's prison in Durgesh, the Golden Path and Rakshasa trading blows in Overrun. The base game supplies the country and the conflict; the pass supplies new reasons to go back into it.
